Page SIX, Column 8SERVICES FOR BIFFLE INFANT HELD TODAY
Services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Evergreen Cemetery for the infant son of Corp. and Mrs. Carl BIFFLE.
The infant was born February 14, 1944 at the Jefferson County Hospital and lived for six hours.
The Rev. R. E. Jennings had charge of the service, and arrangements were under he direction of the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carl BIFFLE is the former Miss Norma BRIGGS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. BRIGGS of Fairfield.

USMC, son of Elizabeth BIFFLE of Sacramento, CA, and Norma BRIGGS of Fairfield, IA. They were married June 17, 1943, at New Bern, NC. Carl was shipped overseas in late 1943 and Norma returned to Fairfield to be with her parents while he was gone. Per Jefferson County Births,
Gene was born at 6:27 a.m. on February 14th; per his Death Certificate he died at 12:30 p.m. the same day.
