After a Long Illness.

Lizzie LOWE, widow of the late L. J. BIDWELL, died in this city Friday night, after an illness of five months from rheumatism. The remains were interred Saturday afternoon, funeral services being conducted by Rev. C. L. Coons. Mrs. BIDWELL had resided in this city for about thirteen years. She was forty-eight years of age, and was born in Round Prairie township, and had spent nearly all her life in this county. Several children survive her, and the sympathy of many friends will go out to them in their affliction. The husband and father died in this city in August, 1896.

Death of Mrs. L. J. BIDWELL

Last Saturday morning at one o'clock Mrs. Levi J. BIDWELL died at her home in the southeastern part of the city. She had been sick for the past six months and the immediate cause of her death was inflammatory rheumatism.

Mrs. BIDWELL had lived most of her life in this county. She was born November 28, 1851, in Glasgow, and there she grew to womanhood. Her maiden name was Mary M. LOWE. She was married on the eighteenth of November, 1875, to Levi J. BIDWELL, who died in this city August 29, 1896. Six children were born of this union, four of whom are still living. Soon after their marriage they moved to Brighton, where they lived until twelve or thirteen years ago, when they came to Fairfield.

The funeral took place from the residence Saturday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. C. L. Coons conducting the services.
