LEVI BIDWELL DIED AT WAPELLO (note: in Louisa Co., IA).

A message was received in this city last evening announcing the death of Levi BIDWELL of this city which occured late yesterday afternoon. Mr. BIDWELL succumbed to an attack of typhoid fever.

Mr. BIDWELL was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi BIDWELL who passed to their reward several years ago. He was born in Brighton, Ia., on August 16, 1881, and when yet a child came to Fairfield to make his home. He is survived by a brother and two sisters, William BIDWELL and Mrs. E. E. WOODS of this city and a sister in Cleveland, Ohio.

The remains will be brought to this city this evening and taken to the home of the brother William BIDWELL on East Briggs street and the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the hour not yet being definitely decided.

Mr. BIDWELL has been employed near Cedar Rapids and becoming ill started for Fairfield Monday. Arriving at Columbus Junction he was so ill that he was taken from the train. A physician who was called found the young man to be suffering from a severe attack of typhoid fever and Tuesday he was taken to Wapello.

Levi BIDWELL of this city died at Wapello Wednesday afternoon of typhoid fever. Mr. BIDWELL had been employed nearCedar (sic) Rapids but bscoming (sic) ill he started Monday for home. When he reached Columbus Junction he was too ill to come the rest of the way. He was taken to Wapello Tuesday. Mr. BIDWELL was about 30 years old and is survived by two sisters and one brother. The body was brought to this city last night and taken to the home of his brother, William BIDWELL, where the funeral will be held this afternoon at four o'clock.
