MRS. HANNAH BENSON DIED THIS NOON

Mrs. Hannah BENSON died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clinton McGOHAN this noon.

Mrs. BENSON was a resident of Fairfield until several years ago.

No funeral arrangements have been made.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah BENSON will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Clinton McGOHAN.

... Our community was greatly saddened by the news of two deaths last week. Mrs. Hannah BENSON passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clinton McGOHAN, Tuesday (sic - Wednesday). Mrs. BENSON had but recently returned from the northern states to be with her daughter and recuperate her health, but it was not to be. The near neighbors not even realizing her critical condition until she had crossed over the border land.

Although she was a stranger in our midst she was spoken of as a woman of grand and noble qualities and once her friends always her friend. It was a sudden blow to her two daughters as she was an idolized mother. 'Tis hard for them to give her up, but they have the blessed assurance that she has but passed on to be at rest with her dear Savior. They have the deepest sympathy of the entire community. ...
