Geneva O. BELL, 89, of 2237 Highway 34 East, died at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Norman Channel officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Arc of Jefferson and Nearby Counties or to Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday before the service.
Mrs. BELL was born Jan. 31, 1913, in the Veo community, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Stoner and Jennie DICKINSON DAVISON. She married Franklin Leroy BELL Nov. 21, 1928, in Fairfield. He died Nov. 8, 2000.
She lived all of her life in Jefferson County. She and her husband were custodians at Louden Machinery Company for 14 years. She was also a homemaker. Baking pies and quilting were among hobbies she enjoyed. Having her family in her life was very important to her.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois SASSEEN and husband Robert of Fairfield and Shirley LUZADDER and husband Jerry of Lockridge; seven sons, Keith BELL and wife Rosalyn of Tallahassee, Fla., Raymond BELL and wife Mary Jo of Canyonville, Ore., Glen BELL and wife Marilyn of Cullman, Ala., Frank BELL and wife Nancy of Fairfield, Rodger BELL and wife Sally of Roseburg, Ore., Tom BELL and wife Sherri of Palmyra, Mo., and Terry BELL and wife Patricia of Maywood, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank L. BELL; one brother, Clifford DAVISON; three sisters Nettie ELDER, Cecil (sic - Cecile) WYCKOFF and Nellie ELDER; and four grandchildren, Morgan BELL, Perry BELL, Kourtney BELL and Joseph LUZADDER.
