Illness Fatal To A. I. BELL

A. I. "Dude" BELL, 106 S. Third St., died at 1:30 p.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital.

BELL was a clothing store clerk for many years. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home. Services are pending.

A. I. BELL Rites Will Be Saturday

Last rites will be Saturday for A. I. "Dude" BELL, life-time resident of this community who passed away Thursday at the Jefferson county hospital. The services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home.

His death came at 1 p.m. following a lengthy illness. Mr. BELL had been in failing health the past three years and seriously ill since May 1. He entered the hospital Sunday, and had been a patient there on previous occasions.

While a resident of this community BELL was employed as a clerk for over ten years in a clothing store operated by the late M. H. Cuddy; and had been employed at the Dexter plant for over 30 years. He retired three years ago because of his health.

Albert I. BELL, 74, was born March 3, 1884, on a farm north of Fairfield in Jefferson county. He was the son of the late Sam and Ida May PIERCE BELL. He was united in marriage to Irene COFFIN at Sigourney on May 17, 1913. Mr. BELL was a member of the Eagles and Elks lodges.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Kenneth M. BELL, Warner Robin (sic - Warner Robins), Georgia; three grandchildren; and a brother, Ed BELL, Fairfield.
