Lloyd C. BEKEL Dies Suddenly

Lloyd Charles BEKEL, 63, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, died about 12:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital. He had suffered a heart attack earlier in the evening at his home, 307 S. Court.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Hoyt H. Whitebread in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home.

Lloyd Charles BEKEL was born Oct. 18, 1902, in Jefferson county, the son William and Lena POHREN BEKEL. He was married to Marie ARMSTRONG on Sept. 23, 1925, at Germanville.

He was employed at the Louden Machinery company for several years, was a member of the Lutheran church and spent his entire life in this community.

In addition to his wife he is survived by the following children: Leonard BEKEL, Brighton; Mrs. Velma KELLER, Mrs. Thelma ECKWALL; seven grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lena BEKEL, all of Fairfield; also two sisters, Mrs. Max BALDOSIER, Brighton; Mrs. Leonard SMITH, Fairfield; and a brother, Harry BEKEL, Brighton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Lloyd C. BEKEL, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Lloyd C. BEKEL, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 26th day of November, 1965, the last will and testament of Lloyd C. BEKEL deceased bearing date of the 20th day of June, 1956, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Marie BEKEL was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
