Died Quite Suddenly.

Miss Lucy BECK, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David BECK, who live in Blackhawk township, died quite suddenly and unexpectedly in this city Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The young lady had been in ill health, suffering from an affection of the lungs, for some time past, and on Saturday came to this city for consultation with her physician. In the afternoon she went to the home of Charles Demarce, intending to remain there until Monday. She retired at night apparently in her usual health, but about 5 o'clock in the morning became very ill, and two hours later sand into an unconscious condition from which she never awakened. A messenger was sent for her parents early in the morning, and they were with their child in her last hours. Miss BECK was almost 22 years of age, and was born and grew to womanhood in this county. She was a bright and intelligent girl, a general favorite among all of her acquaintance. Her funeral occurred in this city yesterday at 2 o'clock. Services were held at the Methodist church and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. C. Smith.
