Beryl FLEMING BECK, 66, passed away this morning at Klein Memorial hospital in Burlington (note: in Des Moines Co., IA), where she had been a patient for the past month. She had been in ill health the past year.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Prugh Funeral Home in Burlington, with burial in the Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield at 4 p.m.
She was born in Stockport, Ia. in 1898, daughter of Jesse and Mary WORKMAN FLEMING. The family moved to Fairfield in 1910 and she attended the Fairfield schools and Parsons college.
She was married in 1919 at Rockford, Ill., to Charles E. BECK, and they lived here until 1922. BECK was employed at Louden's Machinery Company.
They moved to Burlington where he was employed at the Burlington Basket Factory.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away seven years ago and by her parents.
Surviving are a son, Charles Jr., Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Betty BECK ROBERTSON, Burlington; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. H. A. LUNDBERG, Fairfield; and Mrs. Bernard GLOTFELTY, Des Moines; one brother, C. E. FLEMING, Banning, Calif.
