… --Among those here from out of town today to attend the funeral services for Elbert R. BEARDSLEY, which were held this morning were: Mr. and Mrs. W. S. PIFER, Mrs. Clarence Thomas and son and Mrs. Ann Thomas of Illinois City, Ill., Earl PIFER of East Moline, Mrs. John McMell, and Mrs. Ira Mcoll of New Boston, Ill., Rev. Frank PIFER and Lee BEARLSLEY (sic) of Des oines (sic), Mrs. Myrtle Miller and Mrs. Dorothy Gerbling of Burlingtou (sic), Mr. and Mrs. W. S. BEARDSLEY of Olds, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. David HISSONG of Morning Sun.

OBITUARY

ELBERT RUFUS BEARDSLEY

Elbert Rufus BEARDSLEY, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. BEARDSLEY of Winfield, Iowa, was born near Edginton, Illinois, January 24, 1900, and passed away September 29, 1925, at his home at 411 North B street, Fairfield, Iowa. He was united in marriage October 29, 1921 to Grace Marie HISSONG, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. HISSONG, then residents of Olds, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Delbert Earl aged three and Clarence Leroy aged 18 months, his father and mother and one brother Lee. He was a member of the Congregational church of Olds, Iowa.
