Service For Mabel BEAN

Committal services for the cremated remains of Mabel GREENE BEAN, Queens, N.Y., will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. BEAN was the widow of Edgar R. BEAN, a native of Fairfield. She died July 3 in New York City following a lengthy illness.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. James BEAN, Wooster, Ohio, a nephew of Mrs. BEAN's husband. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. BEAN, 79, was born Jan. 21, 1898 in Avoca, Iowa, the daughter of Leander L. and Elizabeth SHULTZ GREENE. She was married to Edgar R. BEAN May 25, 1929.

BEAN began his newspaper career on the staff of the Fairfield Journal. He was managing editor of the New York Daily News at the time of his death Feb. 22, 1942.

Mrs. BEAN was a reporter and feature writer for the New York Sun. She is survived by one sister, Elinor GREENE, Queens, N.Y.
