MRS. RALPH BATES DIED THIS MORNING

Many friends in the city will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. Ralph BATES, which occurred this morning at 1:30 at her home one mile north of the city. She has been in very poor health since last fall and this morning passed away.

Vera Mable BRIER was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. BRIER, and was born in this city on August 22, 1892, and all her life has been spent here. Her mother preceeded (sic) here in death several years ago. She is survived by her husband, Ralph BATES, who will greatly mourn her loss.

In early life she united with the Congregational church and throughout her life lived in accordance with its teachings. Many friends will mourn the death of this young woman, for she was loved by everyone.

The funeral services will be held from the late residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.
