Bernadine BATES, 86, a former Fairfield resident, died at 8:30 a.m. today at Maple Leaf Manor in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA), where she made her home the last several years. Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home.

Bernadine BATES service pending

Bernadine BATES, 86, former Fairfield resident, died at 8 a.m. Saturday at Maple Leaf Manor in Mt. Pleasant, where she had been a patient for several years.

Services are pending at Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. BATES was born June 9, 1898 in Mahaska County, the daughter of William and Mary YATES COFFIN. She married Ralph BATES on Aug. 8, 1928. Her husband, a son Roy, a daughter Dorothy, a brother and six sisters preceded her in death. four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren survive.

Mrs. BATES was a member of First Christian Church.

IN THE ESTATE OF BERNADINE B. BATES, DECEASED.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF BERNARDINE (sic) B. BATES, DECEASED, WHO DIED ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 22, 1984:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1984, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF BERNADINE B. BATES, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 11TH OF MAY, 1967, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT ROBERT D. PARKIN WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF THE ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE THE WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO THE ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE, AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) A CLAIM IS THEREAFTER FOREVER BARRED.
