JOHN G. (sic - John C.) BARNES DIED YESTERDAY
Funeral Services Will Be Held From His Residence Tomorrow Afternoon

John C. BARNES passed away at his home, 203 East Washington street, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after an illness of nine days, from a stroke of paralysis.

John Clark BARNES was the son of Frank and Mary FORRESTER BARNES. He was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, February 13, 1840. In the year 1866 he was married to Sarah Amelia MARSHALL, who preceded him in death four years ago. To this union were born seven children, John M. and Mrs. Elmer DUNLOP (sic - DUNLAP) of Canon City, Colorado, Mrs. J. D. McGAUGHEY of Keokuk, Chas. M., Mrs. George WOODS, Mrs. Alva CUMMINGS and Mrs. Ray KIRKPATRICK, all of Fairfield.

The funeral services will be held from the residence Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

BARNES, J. C.--Passed away at his home in this city on Thursday at 4 p.m., after a nine-day illness from a stroke of paralysis.

John Clarke (sic) BARNES was the son of Frank and Mary FORRESTER BARNES. He was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, February 13, 1840.
