Mrs. Iva BARKER Funeral Friday

Mrs. Iva R. BARKER, 905 W. Jefferson, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital. she had been ill three weeks.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Elder W. G. Loewen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Iva R. BARKER, 72, was born Nov. 1, 1897, in Davenport, the daughter of John and Katherine CARVER BLOCK. She was reared and educated in Davenport.

On July 16, 1932, she was married to Elbert BARKER at Rock Island, Ill. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond HICKENBOTTOM, Fairfield; one son, John W. HOSACK, Franklin, Pa.; two stepsons, Ernest BARKER, Milwaukee, and Robert BARKER, Darby, Mont.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Omar LEE, Davenport; two brothers, John BLOCK, Davenport, and Louis BLOCK, Wellman; and two half-brothers, Charles and Edward FAIRALL, both of Davenport.

Mrs. BARKER was preceded in death by one daughter and a brother.
