Vernice BARBER funeral Monday

Vernice C. BARBER, 804 W. Burlington, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Vernice C. BARBER was born Sept. 12, 1904, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Eddie and Grace VAN DORIN MILLER. Her marriage to Sam BARBER took place June 23, 1923. He died April 12, 1965.

Mrs. BARBER and her late husband owned and operated the Fairfield Glass Co. until 1966. She was reared and educated in Fairfield. She lived in Galesburg, Ill., for a number of years until moving to Libertyville in 1942, and back to Fairfield in 1965.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy BAINBRIDGE, Fairfield; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Clarice MATHEWS, Fairfield; and a brother, Dallas MILLER, Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. BARBER was preceded in death by one sister and a brother.

Services Monday for Mrs. BARBER

Services for Vernice C. BARBER, 78, 804 W. Burlington, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. BARBER died Wednesday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
