Illness Fatal To Sam BARBER, 65

Sam BARBER, 65, owner of the Fairfield Glass Co., died Monday at 10:22 p.m. at the Ottumwa hospital after a serious illness of six weeks.

BARBER made his home at Libertyville. He spent most of his life in Jefferson county.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Alvin Nelson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

BARBER was born May 2, 1899 at Drakesville, the son of John and Margaret SHIPLER BARBER. He was educated in the Fairfield school.

BARBER was married to Vernice MILLER June 23, 1923. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Robert BAINBRIDGE, Fairfield. Also surviving are three grandsons and the following brothers and sisters: Warren L. BARBER, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Kenneth BARBER, Moline, Ill.; and Mrs. C. C. BELLAMY, Galesburg, Ill. One brother is deceased.

BARBER was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
