MRS. E. BANJAY CALLED BY DEATH
Funeral Wednesday at 2 From the Butler Funeral Home

Mrs. Ernest R. BANJAY passed away this morning at 3:45 at her home, 203 East Monroe street, after being in very poor health for some time. The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Butler Funeral Home in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly and interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BANJAY was formerly Miss Flora Belle JOHNSON the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. JOHNSON. She was born in North Carolina Aug. 18, 1889. A daughter Lenora preceded her in death last April. She is survived by her husband and the following children all at home: Helen, Ernest, Leota and Joseph.

FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. BANJAY
Held Yesterday Afternoon at the Butler Funeral Home; Burial at Evergreen

Funeral services for Ernest R. BANJAY (sic - Mrs. BANJAY) were held yesterday afternoon from the Butler funeral home conducted by Rev. R. H. Polly, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. W. S. Parkin and Mrs. Arthur Greef sang three songs, "Under His Wing", "Ivory Palaces", and "I know Whom I have Believed". Miss Mary Stever played the accompaniment.

The following were pall bearers: James Sammons, R. L. Gillespie, Harry Knauss, Jonas Roush, Joseph Howell and Morris Smessaert.

OBITUARY

MRS. ERNEST BANJAY

Flora Belle JOHNSON, daughter of John A. and Martha JOHNSON, was born at Trap Hill, North Carolina, August 18- 1889, and departed this life at her home 203 East Monroe St., Fairfield, Ia., at 2:45 a.m., Dec. 19 1927, being aged at the time of her death 38 years, 4 months, and 1 day.

On Feb. 14, 1910, she was united in marriage with Ernest R. BANJAY, at Aledo, Illinois. To this union were born nine children, three of whom died in infancy; one son, Howard Eugene, died at the age of 16 months, and a daughter, Lenora Belle, died April 14, 1927, in her 16th year.

Mrs. BANJAY leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Ernest R. BANJAY, and four children, as follows, Helen E., 17; Ernest E., 13; Leota M. 9; and Joseph L., 4; besides two brothers, Charles W. of Trap Hill, N. C.; and John E. of this city.

Before her marriage, she united with the Christian Church of New Boston, Ill., where she retained her membership until the time of her death.

In June of 1926 she was operated upon for appendicitis, and from this illness she never completely recovered. Her condition finally became so serious, that she was taken to Oakdale Sanatorium, where she remained five months for treatment. she seemed to improve rapidly, and was allowed to return to her home here, where the end came peacefully and very suddenly.
