Mrs. George S. BALL, 56, died suddenly about 1 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
She became suddenly ill at her home, 200 W. Madison, and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She died a short time after her arrival.
Last rites will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Gillum in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mildred L. BALL was born Dec. 28, 1914, at Caboola (sic - Cabool), Mo. she was the daughter of Hiram and Mary PADGETT CAMPBELL.
She had made her home in Fairfield for over 37 years and she was a member of the First Christian Church.
Her marriage to George S. BALL took place Dec. 26, 1926. He survives along with four children; Mrs. Walter J. HOTLE, East Pleasant Plain; Christine, Fairfield; Charles E., Fairfield; and Thomas W., Chicago.
Also six grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister, Homer I. CAMPBELL, Fairfield; Paul E. CAMPBELL, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Ruby CHAMPLIN, also of Los Angeles.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
