Rites Today For Mrs. Guy BAKER

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today for Mrs. Guy BAKER, 88, who died Saturday at 5:15 pm. at the Ottumwa Hospital (note: in Wapello Co., IA). She had been in serious condition for the past two weeks.

The services today were held at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Maude (sic - Elta Maude) BAKER was born Jan. 10, 1880, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Ernest W. and Isabelle GREENWOOD IRELAND and was reared and educated in Jefferson County. She spent practically her entire life in this community.

On Feb. 19, 1902, she was married to Guy BAKER who died March 13, 1950. Mrs. BAKER was a member of the Methodist Church. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one son Merle, Fairfield; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Fred and Charles IRELAND, both of Fairfield; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth ADAMS, Keokuk.
