Funeral Notice

CHARLES FRANKLIN BAKER.

Charles Franklin BAKER died at New London, Ia., at 4:20 a.m. today. Funeral services will be held at New London Christian church Saturday at 2 p.m. with interment in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield. The cortege will leave Elliott funeral rooms at New London at 1:45 p.m.

Charles BAKER of New London Dies
Former High School Janitor Suffered Heart Attack Two Weeks Ago

New London.--Charles BAKER, 69, died at his home here this morning at 4:20. He had suffered a heart attack two weeks ago.

The son of Lydia DAVIS and William BAKER, he was born Jan. 18, 1868, at Aplington, Ia., and was married in December, 1890, to Cora McREYNOLDS, who died in April, 1895.

From this marriage there were three children, Mrs. May GOBBLE of Ottumwa, Mrs. Susie FRESHWATER and Mrs. Ruth JOHNSTON of Fairfield.

September 16, 1905, Mr. BAKER was married to Estella May HALE at Burlington, who died Sept. 23, 1923. Eight children were born to them: William Hale BAKER, Davenport, Mrs. Beatrice THOMES and Richard W. BAKER of Fairfield; Mrs. Verda LITTLE of San Diego, Calif.; John Orin BAKER of San Pedro, Calif.; Mrs. Effie LOOMER of White Water, Wis., and Maxine Elizabeth at home. One daughter, Virginia, died in September, 1934.

Five brothers and a sister also survive: Basil of Birmingham; Ed of Ottumwa, John Blaine and Fred of Aplington and Mrs. Susie MYERS of Ft. Collins, Colo.

Mr. BAKER was a general contractor until he moved to New London 12 years ago. He served 11 years as janitor of the high school.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian church of which he was a member, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. Emerson in charge.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CHARLES BAKER IN NEW LONDON

In the account of the death of Charles BAKER, who died early yesterday at his home in New London, the names of three daughters who survive him were inadvertently omitted, as follows: Mrs. Ruth JOHNSTON and Mrs. Susie FRESHWATER, both of Fairfield, and Mrs. Mamie GOBBLE of Ottumwa.

Funeral services for Mr. BAKER will be held in New London tomorrow afternoon and burial will be in the Fairfield cemetery (sic - Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield).
