Herbert G. BABCOCK, 73, 204 W. Jefferson, died Monday at 8 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
The service is pending at the Raymond Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The son of George Herbert and Iva BATES BABCOCK, he was born Jan. 27, 1907 in St. Louis, Mo.
He lived most of his life in Fairfield and was a retired foreman of Dexter Division of Philco, retiring in 1971.
He was married to Edith P. OLSON on Oct. 13, 1928 in the Methodist parsonage in Fairfield.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairfield and a former member of the Local 159, International Molders and Allied Workers Union.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Delores INGLE, Ollie; two sons, George BABCOCK, Pensacola, Fla., and Paul BABCOCK, Fairfield; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kirby BABCOCK, Monrovia, Calif., and one sister, Mary DUNBAR, Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Services for Herbert G. BABCOCK, 73, 204 w. Jefferson, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.
BABCOCK, a retired Dexter foreman, died Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Donald Hickman. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 4TH DAY OF JUNE, 1980, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF G. HERBERT BABCOCK, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 29TH DAY OF APRIL, 1967, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT EDITH P. BABCOCK WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
