RUSSELL ARTHUR DIES AT HOME OF SISTER IN CITY

Russel ARTHUR, a resident of Fairfield for 5 years, died here at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred MAKEPEACE. He was born Nov. 6, 1856, in Iowa, and had been confined to his bed for the past 14 months. He moved here from Carrville, Iowa.

He is survived by two daughters Mrs. Edith WATERS of Alta Vista, Ia., and Mrs. Cora ANDERSON who lives in Missouri, and the following sisters Mrs. Sadie BUCKNELL of Carrville, Mrs. Retta CHURCH of Charles City, and Mrs. Florence MAKEPEACE of Fairfield.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home in this city.

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.195. First wife Alice D. PETERSON died in 1887 in NE and was buried there. In 1907 he married Nellie WILSON; whether he was married between Alice and Nellie is at this posting not known, nor when Nellie died or where she is buried.
