ANGSTEAD rites to be Tuesday

Nellie E. ANGSTEAD, 87, former longtime resident of Fairfield, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Harriet GUSTASON, 1510 Burchard Ave. in Freeport, Ill. where she had made her home the past eight years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to her church.

Nellie E. ANGSTEAD was born July 12, 1895, in Nebraska, the daughter of A.A. and Sadie NEWLON NOTT. She lived nearly all her life in Jefferson County.

Her marriage to Harold ANGSTEAD took place Jan. 14, 1914, in Fairfield. He died May 1, 1975. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include her daughter, Harriett GUSTASON who lives in Freeport, Ill.; three sons, Harold ANGSTEAD, Jr., Lodie, Calif. (sic); Bill and Don ANGSTEAD, both of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Anna HARTMAN, Fairfield, and Bessie LUNBECK, Burlington.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, a grandson and a great-great-grandchild.
