DEATH OF C. A. ANDERSON
It Was Not Unexpected as He Had Been Ill Quite a While.

Charles A. ANDERSON passed away this morning at 1:40- o'clock at his home on South Depot street after an illness of four months duration of a complication of diseases. For the past few weeks he has been hovering between life and death and his death was no surprise to his many friends and was a welcome release to him from all his suffering.

Mr. ANDERSON was born in Sweden January 7, 1862 and came with his parents to this country and settled near Lockridge, Jefferson county in 1868.

He was naturalized an on October 27, 1887 was united in marriage to Miss Cora Belle ARCHIBALD. To them were born two children, Mrs. Ray ANGSTEAD and Otto C. A. ANDERSON both of whom are at home. After several years residence in Lockridge and Rome Mr. and Mrs. ANDERSON moved to this city.

He was at one time proprietor of the restaurant on the southwest corner of the square where he made scores of friends. Sometime after leaving the restaurant business Mr. and Mrs ANDERSON and family spent some time in West Burlington moving back to this city about two years ago(.)

Since that time they have most successfully conducted the "Q" hotel. Mr. ANDERSON was a member of the Methodist church and also of Jefferson lodge No. 4, I. O. O. F. which organization will have charge of the funeral services.

Beside the grief stricken wife and children, Mr. ANDERSON is survived by an adopted daughter Goldie May and his aged mother Mrs. Hannah E. ANDERSON of Lockridge, two sisters Gussie CODY and Ada ANDERSON of Lockridge and one brother Ed ANDERSON of California.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church(.) The funeral party will leave the home at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Thomas Osborn will conduct the services. It has been requested that the members of Jefferson lodge No. 4 I. O. O. F. have charge of the services and that Fairfield Rebekah lodge No. 96 and George Strong Corp No 21, W. R. C. attend in a body.

Death of C. A. ANDERSON

Charles A. ANDERSON died at his home on South Depot street yesterday morning, after an illness of several months duration. He has been severely ill the past few weeks and his death was not unexpected.

Deceased was born in Sweden January 7, 1862, and came to this county in 1868. October 27, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Cora Belle ARCHIBALD. She and two children, Mrs. Ray ANGSTEAD and Otto ANDERSON, are left to mourn his loss.

Mr. ANDERSON was a member of the Methodist church and of Jefferson Lodge No. 4, I. O. O. F.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church this afternoon at three o'clock, by Rev. Thos. Osborn. The Oddfellows will have charge of the funeral.

… Charles A. ANDERSON died yesterday at his home, the C., B. & Q. hotel in this city. He has been ill for several months with inflammatory rheumatism and complications. His wife and three children survive him. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church this afternoon at 3 o'clock. …

Obituary.

Charles A. ANDERSON died Monday night about 10 o'clock at his home after a lingering illness. He was born in Sweden January 7th, 1862 and came with his parent to this country in 1868, residing for a number of years in Lockridge township. In 1887 he was married to Cora Belle ARCHIBALD. To them were born two children, Mrs. Ray ANGSTEAD and Otto. They have been residents of this city for a number of years and at one time were engaged in the restaurant business. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Wednesday.
