WM. E. ALSTON DIED SUDDENLY
Well Known Fairfield Resident Passed Away Sunday Morning

William E. ALSTON, 80, well known Fairfield resident, was found dead in bed Sunday morning at his home ,408 (sic) West Broadway. He seemed to be in good health Saturday evening when friends last talked with him.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home pending the arrival of his brother, Henry C. ALSTON of Los Angeles, Calif., who will arrive Wednesday night. Funeral services will be held on Thursday.

Mr. ALSTON was the son of William ALSTON, one of the pioneer settlers of Fairfield. Besides his brother, Henry C., he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Marian BARNES, also of Los Angeles.

ALSTON RITES THURSDAY AT 2
Services From Hoskins Funeral Home; Burial Evergreen

Funeral services for William ALSTON, pioneer resident of Jefferson county who passed away at his home here suddenly Sunday morning, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. ALSTON was one of a family of ten children, all of whom have preceded him in death with the exception of two. His father was a well known farmer of the county and Mr. ALSTON has spent his entire life here. He was never married and surviving are his brother, Henry C. of Los Angeles, Calif., who will arrive tonight, and a sister, Mrs. Mary M. BARNES, also of Los Angeles.
