June ALLENDER

FAIRFIELD -- June ALLENDER, 86, a life resident of Jefferson county, died Aug. 2, at 2 a.m., at her home at 307 South Court street. She and her two sisters had lived in Fairfield since fire destroyed their large country residence on July 12, 1951.

Miss ALLENDRE (sic) was born on a farm near Salina on June 25, 1868, the daughter of Jacob H. and Adeline TEMPLETON ALLENDER. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Odessa POWELL and Gertrude ALLENDER, and several nieces and nephews.

Last rites will be held at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dr. L. L. Weis, pastor of First Methodist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
