Died at the Age of Eighty.

Mrs. P. A. ALLEN died at the home of G. D. McGAW in this city Wednesday evening. She had been an invalid for nearly ten years past, and of late health and strength both failed very rapidly. Mrs. ALLEN was born in Clinton county, Ohio, August 30th, 1814. She grow (sic) to womanhood in that state, was married there and was the mother of three children. In 1862, after the death of her husband, she removed to Burlington, this state, where she lived for six years. When Mr. and Mrs. McGaw, the latter her only surviving child, came to Fairfield, in 1868, she accompanied them and has since made her home with them. The remains were interred in this city Thursday afternoon, Rev. G. F. Reinking of the Baptist church, with which denomination Mrs. ALLEN connected herself in early life, conducting the funeral services.

Death of Mrs. P. A. ALLEN.

Last Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. P. A. ALLEN at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. D. McGAW, in this city. Mrs. ALLEN's maiden name was ANTHONY, and she was married to James E. ALLEN in New Vienna, Ohio, he dying several years later. Mrs. ALLEN and her only child, now Mrs. G. D. McGAW, removed to Burlington this state in 1864. She has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. McGAW in this city for the past twenty-six years. The funeral took place from the residence Thursday afternoon at three o'clock. Deceased was seventy-nine years, seven months and thirteen days old.
