ALLEN services at Ottumwa

Margaret Marie ALLEN, 91, native of Fairfield and a former resident of Ottumwa and Bloomfield, died Jan. 30 in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Services were scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. at the Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA) with the Rev. Cecil Simonton officiating. The body will be cremated and interred in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with arrangements in charge of Behner Funeral Home.

Margaret Marie ALLEN was born July 3, 1889 in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Frank and Maggie Marie SMITH PARAMORE. A 1909 graduate of Southern Iowa Normal High School at Bloomfield, she married D.S. ALLEN Oct. 16, 1912, in Bloomfield (note: in Davis Co., IA).

They had lived in Ottumwa from 1930 to 1942, and he died in September, 1957.

She is survived by two daughters, Madeline DAVIS, Madison, Wisc., and Danise WEAVER, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Memorials are requested for the American Cancer Society.
