CAL ADAMS DIED IN MT. PLEASANT

Friends and relatives in Fairfield were shocked this morning when a telephone message reached this city announcing the death of Carl ADAMS which occured at his home at 410 North White street in Mt. Pleasant this morning at four o'clock after a two weeks illness of typhoid fever. Mr. ADAMS was well and favorably known in this city and scores of friends will sincerely regret his death.

James Carl ADAMS was born June 9th, 1886, in Olds, Iowa, and was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. John ADAMS now residing near Fairfield. He was married December 8th, 1910, to Miss Etta ARNETT of this city and the young couple went to Mt. Pleasant to make their home. One little daughter, Pauline, was born to them and with her mother and the bereaved parents survives.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at ten o'clock at the home in Mt. Pleasant after which the remains will be brought to this city on Burlington train No. 179, and taken to Evergreen cemetery where a short service will be held and where friends may view the body before interrment.

Note: Wife Mary Etta ARNETT remarried on February 24, 1915, in Jefferson Co., IA, to Carmel H. GUSTISON, as his second wife. She is buried in the 3rd Addition at Evergreen; James is in Lot SDiv.2-018.
