DIED.

ACHESON.--In Fairfield, Iowa, June 5, 1877, Jennie Carey, youngest daughter of George and Mary ACHESON, aged 13 years and 4 months.

Gone--yes, gone--the "angel of the household"--the light of a happy, loving home--the fair and tender flower, touched by the icy hand of death, has drooped and faded. Yet her young life has not been in vain. No, no; so gentle, so loving, so sweet tempered, so obedient--the hearts that knew her best loved her most. Her tedious sickness, endured without a murmur, and often mixed with great suffering, was often cheered to the loving ones about her by her own sweet voice singing the following beautiful lines:

"Hide me, O! my Savior, hide,
Till the storm of life is past;
Safe into the haven guide.
O! receive my soul at last."

It pleased her dear Savior at last to pillow her head on His loving breast and release her without a struggle.

The funeral of Jennie ACHESON was largely attended on Wednesday last. Revs. Wilson, McCalla and Wing officiated at the residence and the cemetery. Another sweet child has gone to her heavenly home, for Jennie was loved by all who knew her, as one of sweet and amiable disposition.
