STATE DEATHS

MRS. JOANNA BENNETT.

Fairfield.--Mrs. Charles GOSSICK, 412 North C street, has received word of the death of her grandmother, Mrs. Joanna SMITH BENNETT, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida SMITH, at Wahkon, Minn. Mrs. BENNETT, who is a former Fairfield resident, was the second (sic - third) wife of the late Jacob S. BENNETT. The funeral services were to be held at Nora (sic - Mora), Minn. The SMITH family resided southwest of Fairfield, near Wooster, a number of years ago, and from here they went to Ottumwa to live.
