Alfred MARTIN Rites Pending

Alfred R. MARTIN, 70, Fairfield Route 2, died Sunday afternoon at the Veterans hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

MARTIN was a retired Fairfield factory worker. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Raymond MARTIN Rites Wednesday

Services for Alfred Raymond "Gundy" MARTIN, 70, Fairfield Route 2, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

MARTIN died Sunday afternoon at the Veterans hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient since July 1.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. James Dendler. Military rites will be held by the American Legion at Wright cemetery southeast of Fairfield.

MARTIN was a retired Philco-Dexter employe. He was born Nov. 5, 1894, at Selma, the son of William and Florence PENN MARTIN. He was married to Pansy LAWRENCE Sept. 22, 1920.

MARTIN was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by two children: Mrs. Elizabeth TOMLINSON and James L. MARTIN, both of Wilmington, Del.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Earl MARTIN and Mrs. Ruby GIBERSON, Fairfield; Joe MARTIN, Mt. Pleasant; John MARTIN, Green Rock, Ill.; and Mrs. Lucille HAYNES, Bonaparte.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of Alfred Raymond MARTIN, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Alfred Raymond MARTIN, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 27 day of September, 1965, the undersigned was appointed administrator of said estate. Notice is hereby given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against the estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance, and unless so filed six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claims shall thereafter be forever barred.
