John E. KELLER, 79, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, died Monday at 9 p.m. at University hospitals in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA) where he had been a patient for the past thre (sic) weeks.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Robert Swanson. Burial will be in Wright cemetery southeast of Fairfield.
KELLER made his home at the end of West Stone Ave. He was a retired farmer and factory worker. He was born in Jefferson county March 26, 1884, the son of Gustave and Catherine ORIEZ KELLER. He was married to Grace HEISEL, Oct. 18, 1900.
KELLER was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and the Golden Wedding club. Surviving are his wife and four sons: Lloyd, Monmouth, Ill.; Leo, Santa Ana, Calif.; Robert, Fairfield; and Lee, Burlington.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Cora SILVERS and Mrs. Minnie RUBY (sic - RUBEY), both of Stockport; Lou KELLER, Detroit, Mich.; and Gus KELLER, Canada.
Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
