CROWE dies

Theodore CROWE, resident of the Tower Park Nursing Home in Oskaloosa, died Tuesday.

The body is at the Raymond Funeral Home where services are pending.

CROWE rites on Friday

Services for Theodore Thomas "Ted" CROWE, 79, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery.

CROWE died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at Tower Park in Oskaloosa where he had been a resident (note: in Mahaska Co., IA).

Theodore Thomas CROWE was born July 24, 1901, at Princeville, Ill., the son of William and Eugene Maude BRADY CROWE. He married Gladys M. OLSON June 24, 1924.

He was reared and educated in Highland Center and lived in Fairfield two years. He moved to Illinois in 1929.

He was employed as a machinist helper in the Silvis Shop of the Rock Island Railroad until he was forced to retire due to injuries. He moved to Martinsburg in 1953.

In addition to his widow, CROWE is survived by a daughter, Leona McINTOSH WILLIAMS, Humeston; two brothers, Alva, Ottumwa, and Lester, Fairfield; two sisters, Nellie CROSS, Jefferson, and Florence CROWE, Fairfield.

He is also survived by two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

CROWE was preceded in death by one son, one sister and three brothers.
