DIED SUDDENLY IN KEOSAUQUA.
Jackson ANKROM of Fairfield Dropped Dead Last Night -- Funeral Here Sunday.

Jackson ANKROM, a well known resident of Jefferson county, died suddenly last evening about seven o'clock at a boarding house in Keosauqua where he had been staying for the past few days while attending the COOP divorce trial. Mr. ANKROM had not been well for a day or two but he was able to go about town and was upon the streets when taken ill last evening.

Mr. ANKROM was 71 years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in and around Fairfield. He is survived by two children, Claude of Oregon and Mrs Maude SMITH who resides in Vermillion, Kansas. He also leaves two sisters and three brothers who are as follows: Mrs. William COOP and Mrs. Henry KELTNER of this city, Eli ANKROM of Moulton, Elias of Oregon and John of Oklahoma.

The remains were brought to this city this afternoon and the funeral will probably be held tomorrow afternoon.

Well Known Jefferson County Man Dies suddenly While at Keosauqua, Iowa.

Jackson ANKROM, a well known resident of Jefferson county, died suddenly last evening about seven o'clock at a boarding house in Keosauqua where he had been staying for the past few days while attending the COOP divorce trial. Jackson ANKROM Dead.

Jackson ANKROM, a resident of this county, died very suddenly at Keosauqua last Friday evening. He was about 71 years old and is survived by two children, three brothers and two sister (sic). The remains were brought to Fairfield Saturday and the funeral services held at Frazey's Undertaking parlors Sabbath afternoon.

Note: Andrew does not have a headstone, but his name is noted at the top of his daughter Leote's headstone in Wright Cemetery with no dates for him indicated. Andrew was married twice, first in 1872 to Frances U. ADAMS, and second in 1888 to Mary A. DONELSON WOOD. When these wives died and where they are buried is not known.
