Editors Ledger :-- At the residence of Hiram ASHMEAD, in this county, on the 6th inst., occurred the death of Luther Perry, eldest son of W. R. and A. L. CRAWFORD, aged 7 months, 11 days. His death was caused by pneumonia.-- The funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Robinson, and were largely attended.
A light is from our household gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant at our hearts and home,
Which never can be filled.
A gentle heart that throbbed
With tenderness and love,
Has hushed its weary throbbings here
And gone to dwell with angels above.~~~~
