Oscar W. WESTENHAVER, 82, resident of Pleasant Plain for 40 years, passed away at his home about 10:15 a. m. Thursday. He had been in poor health for two years and seriously ill the past six months.
Last rites will be held at his home in Pleasant Plain Saturday at 2:00 p.m. burial will be in the Walnut cemetery south of Pleasant Plain. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Omar Hoskins funeral home at Brighton.
Mr. WESTENHAVER was born March 26, 1864, at Perlee. He moved to Pleasant Plain 40 years ago and has lived there since. He was never married, and a member of the United Brethren church.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Blanche MORTIMOR, Los Angeles; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. MORTIMOR has been caring for her brother the past two months. Mr. WESTENHAVER was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
