… Thursday about noon J. F. HODSON, who lives south of Pleasant Plain, slipped and fell on the sidewalk on the east side of the square and fractured a leg. He is an elderly man, probably seventy-five years of age, and the injury may prove a serious one. …

--James HODSON one of the old men of the county, died Friday night shortly after midnight at his home in Pleasant Plain. The funeral will be held Sunday morning at the Friends' church in Walnut. Mr. HODSON was 78 years old and has suffered for some time from Bright's disease, this being the cause of his death. He is survived by a wife and family.
