--Mrs. A. W. JAQUES returned yesterday from Bladensburg, Iowa, where she had been called by the illness and death of her brother. Mr. and Mrs. JAQUES went to Pleasant Plain this morning to attend the funeral.

--Word was received in the city yesterday morning of the death of Noble HAMILTON, a brother of Mrs. A. W. JAQUES, who resides on West Broadway. Mr. HAMILTON lived in Bladensburg, Iowa, where Mrs. JAQUES was called to see him Wednesday. She was with him at the time of his death. Mr. HAMILTON is known to a number of Fairfield people and they will deeply sympathize with Mrs. JAQUES in her bereavement. The funeral was held this afternoon at four o'clock in Pleasant Plain and the remains will be laid to rest in the cemetery there.

Death of Noble HAMILTON.

Noble HAMILTON, who was born in this county June 26th, 1866, and had spent most of his life here, died at Bladensburg Thursday. His body was brought to Pleasant Plain Friday and was interred in Walnut cemetery south of that place. Mr. HAMILTON was married in this county to Eva MACY, July 30th, 1892, and the wife and four children survive him. He was a son of Mrs. Wm. GOBBLE, and a brother of Mrs. A. W. JAQUES of this city. There are many friends of the family throughout the county who will sympathize with its members in this deep affliction.
