MISS ALICE HAWK BURIED HERE TODAY

A message reached this city Sunday morning announcing the death of Miss Alice HAWK which occured (sic) in the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Saturday night after a lingering illness. Miss HAWK was well known Jefferson county woman and her death will be generally regretted.

The remains were brought to this city this afternoon and taken to the Richwoods Chapel where funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock. The interrment (sic) took place in the Rickwoods (sic) cemetery. Miss HAWK was a sister of Joseph HAWK and Mrs. O. W. GREEN of this city.
