RUPERT ALLENDER DIED IN WYOMING

A message was received in this city Sunday announcing the death of Rupert ALLENDER, which occurred in a hospital in Cheyenne, Wyoming, shortly after midnight Saturday after only a few days' illness. Mr. ALLENDER's relatives and friends here were shocked to learn of his death although they received a message Saturday evening that his condition was serious and death was expected. It is thought that he was suddenly stricken at his home in Carpenter, Wyoming, and was rushed to a hospital in Cheyenne to be operated upon with the hope of saving his life.

Mr. ALLENDER was about 38 years of age and was born and reared on a farm about a half mile north of Salina where his father, J. H. ALLENDER aged 93 still resides. The young man left his home about three years ago and went west, locating in Carpenter, where he entered the real estate business, and has been most successful. Last Monday a message was received here stating that he was very ill and his sister Miss Gertrude left at once for his bedside.

Mr. ALLENDER is survived by his aged father and five sisters and one brother--Mrs. Odessa POWELL, Seattle, Washington; Miss Uola ALLENDER, Omaha, Neb.; Wilametta, Palo Alto, California; Gertrude and June, who are at home, and T. B. ALLENDER of this city.

The remains will be brought to this city and taken to the old home for interment. It is probable that the body will reach this city about Wednesday morning. No funeral arrangements are made at this time.
