Norval PARSONS Dies Suddenly

Last rites will be Saturday for Norval I. PARSONS, well-known Jefferson county farmer who died suddenly at his farm home east of Fairfield about 3:20 p.m. Thursday. His death was caused by a heart attack.

The services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall and the Rev. Ronald Kinzler officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery south of Parsonsville.

PARSONS had been in his usual health yesterday, and went to the barn after 3 p.m. to help a mechanic who was working on a tractor. Shortly after his arrival at the barn he suffered the attack and died instantly. The PARSONS farm is located about 3½ miles southeast of Fairfield.

Norval I. PARSONS, 60 was born Nov. 30, 1901, on a farm 5½ miles east of Fairfield, the son of George B. and Mary Christine LIBLIN PARSONS. He was reared and educated in the Parsonsville community.

On Dec. 26, 1939, he was united in marriage to Helen SHAFER who survives. The wedding took place at the Germanville Lutheran church. He spent his entire life in Jefferson county, he was a member of the Methodist church and the IOOF lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Maude TULLER, Fairfield; two brothers, Floyd of Crawfordsville and Russell of Richland; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, his parents and a brother.
