RITES TO BE SATURDAY FOR MRS. JOHN W. MAXWELL

Mrs. John W. MAXWELL, 72, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Iva WATKINS, in Burlington, having been in failing health since last December. Mrs. MAXWELL had lived nearly all her life on a farm southwest of Lockridge.

She is survived by three children, Guy of Winfield, Virgil of Fairfield and Mrs. Iva WATKINS, Burlington; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also two sisters; Mrs. Arlo SMITH, Fairfield and Mrs. Mable DOLTON of Ottumwa. Her husband, Jon (sic), preceded her in death in 1923.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Elliott Funeral home in New London. Burial will be in Union Cemetery eight miles southeast of Fairfield.
