JOHNSTON Rites Will Be Monday Afternoon

Last rites for Lee Edward JOHNSTON will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. M. E. Lehman of Burlington in charge. Burial will be in the Union cemetery north of Parsonsville.

JOHNSTON passed away Thursday night at the University hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA) following an operation. He had been in poor health since he was seriously injured in an auto accident near New London about a year ago.

A former resident of Jefferson county, he and his family moved to Burlington in 1950 where he was an inspector for the Case company. His wife was the former Mary HICKENBOTTOM.
