Mount PleasantLoretta WIGGINS, 84, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Packwood, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA).
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service.
Memorials may be made to the family or donor's choice to any Conservation Department. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Tina WIGGINS, P.O. Box 27, Donnellson, IA 52625.
Loretta was born April 16, 1935, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Gerald and Jessie (LINCOLN) BONNER. She married Harold Lloyd WIGGINS Aug. 6, 1954, at the the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away Dec. 3, 2014.
Loretta worked at various jobs in the Ottumwa and Fairfield area the last being the Jefferson County Hospital. She loved being outdoors either fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, working in her flower bed or going to Lake Darling. During gardening, she would spend many hours canning the produce. Loretta enjoyed playing cards and playing with a card club on Tuesday night.
Left to share her memory are her children, Tina (Jay Kirchner) WIGGINS of Donnellson and Gerald WIGGINS of Mount Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Jessie; husband, Harold; and five brothers and three sisters.
