LOCKRIDGE MAN DIES SUDDENLY
James M. HICKENBOTTOM Well Known Barber, Taken Yesterday

James M. HICKENBOTTOM, 69, well known Lockridge barber, died suddenly in his shop at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He had gone to his shop as usual and after visiting with several customers he sat down to sharpen a pair of scissors when he suddenly slumped over in his chair. A doctor was summoned but Mr. HICKENBOTTOM has passed away before his arrival.

Services will be held from the Lockridge Baptist church at 2:30 o'clock Thursday. Rev. A. R. Toothacre in charge with burial in Union cemetery.

Mr. HICKENBOTTOM was born at Glendale May, 1863. He had barbered in the Lockridge community for forty-six years. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Ralph of Biggsville, Ill.; Matthew of Morning Sun, Charles of Fairfield, Mrs. Clarence FRAME of Salem, Robert and Pauline at home. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Joe H. HICKENBOTTOM, Mrs. Mary DAMM, and Mrs. Anna OVERHOLSER of Fairfield, Mrs. Lloyd McCARTY of Perlee and Mrs. Ishmael DYER of Hopkins, Mo.
