F. GOHN KILLED BY TRAIN TODAY
Railroad Worker Struck On Straightaway Track At Glendale At 6:30 a.m.

Frank GOHN, 69 years old and for years a member of the Burlington section crew was killed by an eastbound train running on the westbound track at Glendale at 6:30 oclock this morning.

He had left his home in Parsonsville and was walking to work, not knowing that No. 16 was on the westbound track and was struck as he walked in the same direction the train was going. Nobody saw the accident and the crew was not cognizant of it. The body was found a little later by other workers on their way to the day's labor. It had been struck fairly and lifted about twenty feet. The back, both legs and an arm were broken.

The body was brought to Mark Hoskins' undertaking rooms. Dr. W. T. Webb, coroner, viewed the body and ordered its removal. Dr. Webb will interview the members of the train crew on its return this evening and probably will decide that an inquest in unnecessary.

Besides his wife, Mr. GOHN is survived by the following sons and daughters Mrs. Ed KELLY, Melmond, Iowa; Mrs. Nettie FARRIS, Mt. Pleasant; John, New London; Mrs. Will SMITH Mrs. Joseph HICKENBOTTOM, Fred and Oliver of near Glendale. Mrs. SMITH and her husband had left yesterday afternoon on a trip to Sand Point, Idaho, and were notified at Council Bluffs of the death.
