DIED—In Fairfield, Iowa, on the 24th ult., Mrs. Mary Ann, wife of John Mathews, Esq., formerly of Johnston, Pa., in the 53d year of her age. The deceased had recently arrived here with her family from Cambria County, Pa., intending to make Fairfield her future residence, hoping that the climate of Iowa would improve her health, which had been declining for several years; but instead the angel of death had marked her for his own. “She came here but to die.”.....Presbyterian Church.....
