LockridgeWilliam T. "Bill" APLARA, 59, of Lockridge, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (note: in Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA).
Bill was born Oct. 6, 1959, in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Frank S. and Shirley Ann REINKS APLARA. He grew up in the Glasgow and Lockridge communities. He worked alongside his father Frank APLARA, for Aplara Plumbing and Heating until 2004. He was united in marriage to Judy SEPTER on Dec. 11, 1989. Bill enjoyed many things such as hunting, auto racing, cooking shows, history shows, movies, his dogs, riding his 4 wheeler and his mule. Bill was involved with the Lockridge Little League and the Babe Ruth Baseball Leagues.
He is survived by his wife, Judy APLARA of Lockridge; his son, Brandon J. (Brenna) APLARA of Lockridge; and two children from a previous marriage, Amber Dawn (Tony) APLARA-CARRIER of West Des. Moines and Zach A. (SonYa) APLARA of Bristow, Va.; two grandchildren, Kyle and Nathan; three brothers, Pete APLARA of Lockridge, George APLARA of Farifield and John APLARA of Lockridge.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
No services will be held at this time and cremation has been entrusted to the Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
